Today had its highs and lows:
I smashed a bottle of Moscato
in line at the LCBO Rivers of
dessert wine coursed down my
leg And there was a sweet dampness
about me all through the day
But was I good enough to eat as
I beat a path to see Patti Smith ?
There she was 5ft. from me
tuning her guitar: Because The Night raspy voice soaring
beneath Gehry’s staircase
As A.G.O. bouncers boomed: You can’t look at her
The People Have Power Patti moaned –
No they don’t Not at the AGO
So piss on ’em Patti and have a great show
