NOT FADE AWAY
DO NOT FADE AWAY
I am wearing so many pastels today
I may fade away into the misty blues
and pinks in the park
Spring has been on backorder
But now I see the northern citydwellers
crawl out of caves weary pastey and
near rancid with indoor heating
Soon they will be on patios gnashing
their Summerteeth sweltering in the
blast furnace that is our ecological karma
But for now Please : Stay off the pesticidal grass & enjoy the tampered tulips
Could there be a Spring more laden with
foolish searching for meaning when there isn’t any ?
